Šukoplam PR – Fan Assisted Log Boiler (100–250 kW)

The Šukoplam PR is a heavy-duty fan assisted solid fuel log boiler, available in outputs from 100 kW to 250 kW, specifically engineered for industrial, commercial, and process heating applications requiring high thermal output and precise temperature control.

Designed for the combustion of solid piece fuels, the Šukoplam PR operates using an artificial draft combustion system, with a high-capacity combustion fan mounted on the lower boiler door. Unlike natural draft boilers, combustion air supply is controlled primarily by the fan rather than chimney traction, ensuring stable, efficient combustion and consistent thermal performance, even in installations with limited chimney draft.

Automatic boiler controls regulate both fan speed and combustion air volume, allowing accurate maintenance of the set water temperature within tight tolerances. This level of control is essential in industrial processes, district heating systems, and large commercial installations where temperature stability is critical.

Due to the increased draft generated by the combustion fan, the boiler is fitted with flue gas turbulators, which convert laminar flue gas flow into turbulent flow. This significantly improves heat transfer between combustion gases and boiler water, increasing boiler efficiency by approximately 7–10% and reducing overall fuel consumption.

The Šukoplam PR is constructed as a three-pass hot water boiler, incorporating a water-cooled partition and pipe bundle. This design ensures that combustion gases pass through the water jacket three times, maximising heat recovery and improving overall system efficiency. The boiler body is fully insulated with high-density mineral wool, and the outer casing is protected by a durable plasticised coating for long-term corrosion resistance.

The boiler is designed for hot water production in operating temperature regimes of 110/90 °C and 90/70 °C, with a maximum operating pressure of 3 bar. Safety is ensured through the installation of a pressure relief safety valve and a thermal safety heat exchanger, which automatically cools the boiler in the event of overheating.
