The Šukom Safety Regulator is a mechanical draft and safety control device designed for use with solid fuel boilers, ensuring correct combustion air regulation and supporting safe, efficient boiler operation.

When burning chunk solid fuels such as wood or coal, combustion air is regulated by the draft regulator, which mechanically operates a flap on the ash collection tray. By opening or closing this flap, the regulator automatically increases or decreases the combustion air supply, maintaining stable combustion conditions and helping to control boiler temperature.

In systems where the boiler is coupled with a gas generator, combustion air regulation is managed via the generator and the boiler’s automatic controller, rather than the mechanical draft regulator. In these installations, the Šukom Safety Regulator continues to play an important role as part of the overall boiler safety system.

For boiler protection, pressure control is achieved through the installation of a safety valve at the designated boiler connection point. Protection against excessive temperature is provided by a thermal safety heat exchanger, which automatically cools the boiler if operating temperatures exceed safe limits.
